[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Jang Sung-min, the special political advisor to President-elect Jang Sung-min, warned that if the Democratic Party of Korea abuses its legislative power like in the passage of the "Geomsu Wanbak" (complete removal of prosecutorial investigation rights) law, the president can also exercise the veto power. Known as President-elect Yoon's "harsh-talking special advisor," Jang harshly criticized the Geomsu Wanbak law using terms such as "deep-rooted evil law" and "legislative coup," emphasizing that these are his personal opinions.

On the 26th, through social media (SNS), Advisor Jang stated, "Even if our people see the Democratic Party forcibly pushing through the Geomsu Wanbak law, they will demand that the new Yoon Seok-yeol government exercise its veto power," adding, "If the Democratic Party abuses its legislative power 100 times, the president should also exercise the veto power 100 times."

He said, "After the era of military dictatorship ended, instead of the term 'military dictatorship,' terms like 'parliamentary dictatorship' and 'civilian dictatorship' have appeared like ghosts, wandering the National Assembly, the hall of public opinion," and lamented, "Ironically, the terms 'parliamentary dictatorship' and 'civilian dictatorship' refer to the Moon Jae-in administration, which was born through impeachment under the name of the Candlelight Revolution."

Regarding the Geomsu Wanbak law, Advisor Jang particularly criticized it as "an unprecedented law that blatantly proves the Moon administration was a parliamentary and civilian dictatorship," calling it "a deep-rooted evil law that aims to turn the Republic of Korea, a democratic republic, into a crime republic or a corruption republic, almost like an anarchic state." After listing statements from Park Hong-geun, the Democratic Party floor leader, and Yang Hyang-ja, an independent lawmaker, he claimed, "The ultimate goal of the Democratic Party's push for the Geomsu Wanbak law is not to protect the Republic of Korea and its people, but to shield former President Moon and former Governor Lee Jae-myung from corruption scandals during the past five years, including the Moon administration's corruption and the Daejang-dong corruption."

Advisor Jang warned, "If the Democratic Party leads the way and passes the Geomsu Wanbak law themselves, it will be the path to the Democratic Party's self-destruction, and the Democratic Party will be completely ruined, with even the people turning their backs on the Democratic Party entirely."
