Qualcomm Appoints Jim Cash as Senior Vice President and CCO, Reporting Directly to President Amon

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Qualcomm Incorporated announced on the 26th that it has promoted and appointed Jim Cash, Qualcomm Senior Vice President and President of Global Business (photo), as Qualcomm Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Jim Cash, CCO, will become a member of Qualcomm's board of directors and will report directly to Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

President Amon stated, "Jim Cash, the new CCO, has greatly contributed to Qualcomm's success over the years by building, strengthening, and expanding relationships with partners based on his leadership, while enhancing Qualcomm's regional sales and customer support capabilities. Qualcomm is pleased to appoint Jim Cash, President of Global Business, as Qualcomm's CCO to expand into new industries and realize the biggest opportunities in Qualcomm's history."

Jim Cash, CCO, earned a Bachelor of Marketing Management from Boise State University in the United States. Before joining Qualcomm, he held executive positions at Micron Technology and Microdisplay and led the IR division at Fixtech.

Since joining Qualcomm in 2006, he has served as Head of Qualcomm Technology's Japan operations, Taiwan branch manager, and President of Qualcomm Technology Asia-Pacific & India region. Prior to this promotion, he served as Senior Vice President and President of Global Business at Qualcomm Technology. During his tenure, he oversaw global market entry and business relationship-building activities in the Americas, including global sales and business development, customer management, carrier partnerships, sales operations, and distribution channel management. He currently holds 17 patents and is a board member of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and the San Diego Harbor Police Foundation.
