원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Classical guitarist Park Jongho, who has performed across various genres, will meet audiences with a solo recital.
According to the performance planning company Art & Artist on the 26th, Park Jongho will hold a guitar recital at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on May 10.
Park Jongho has showcased delicate playing, rich expressiveness, and a wide repertoire through solo and ensemble performances spanning multiple genres. Last year, he gained attention by performing the global premiere of the Levantino Guitar Concerto by Spanish composer Manuel Palau with the KBS Symphony Orchestra, and sharing the stage with violinist Yang Inmo and cellist Shim Junho.
This performance’s title, Fractus (Latin for "broken state"), originates from the word Fractal. Through performances of works by Silvius Leopold Weiss, Manuel Maria Ponce, and Johann Sebastian Bach, the program is structured to shape from broken and incomplete elements into a complete and solid structure.
At the end of the performance, the piece by Leo Brouwer symbolizes the deconstruction of all these elements for a new beginning.
An Art & Artist representative said, "Within the limited time that audiences experience the music, they will be able to freely expand their appreciation and imagination about what the performer is expressing and the story being told."
Park Jongho’s guitar recital will be held at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on May 10, followed by a performance at Haeundae Cultural Center in Busan on May 15.
