[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 26th that it is promoting the 119 Multi-Channel Reporting Service, which allows anyone to report emergencies easily and quickly.

The 119 Multi-Channel Reporting Service is a system created for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses, and since general citizens can also use it more easily, it can be actively utilized in various fire and disaster situations.

Text reporting can be done by sending SMS, photos, videos, etc. to 119.

App reporting involves downloading the “119 Report” app, selecting the ‘Reporting Service’ menu, and tapping the send button. If you do not know your location, you can also send your current location through the app.

A fire official said, “By using the 119 Multi-Channel Reporting Service, on-site personnel can receive faster and more accurate situation reports through the 119 control room.” He added, “We hope it will be actively used in emergency situations.”
