Jakwong Holdings Co., Ltd. to Build Tourist Resort Condominium at Byeonsan Beach

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 26th that Jakwang Holdings Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeon Eun-su) has decided to invest 200.4 billion KRW to build a tourist resort condominium at Byeonsan Beach in Buan County.

On April 26 (Tuesday), Jeollabuk-do and Buan County signed an investment agreement with Jakwang Holdings Co., Ltd. for the construction of a tourist accommodation facility (Byeonsan Beach tourist resort condominium) at the provincial government’s comprehensive situation room, attended by Vice Governor Jo Bong-eop and Buan Deputy County Governor Kim Jong-taek.

This project involves building a tourist resort condominium at the Byeonsan Beach tourist area in Buan County by 2024. The site area is 43,887㎡, and the total project cost is 200.4 billion KRW.

In particular, it is expected to create employment for more than 70 people with 79 rooms (74 resort building rooms and 5 private villas).

According to this agreement, Jakwang Holdings Co., Ltd. will cooperate for the development of Jeonbuk’s MICE industry by prioritizing the employment of Jeonbuk residents, registering as a Jeonbuk Tour Pass affiliated store, and attracting conferences. Jeonbuk Province plans to support up to 10 billion KRW in tourism business investment subsidies according to related ordinances upon completion of the investment.

Meanwhile, Jakwang Holdings Co., Ltd. is planning to build tourist resort condominiums not only at Byeonsan Beach but also in other areas within the province, which is expected to greatly contribute to the activation of Jeonbuk’s stay-type tourism industry and local economy.
