[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Ko Gi-cheol, Chief of Jeju Police Agency, visited the Hallim Police Station Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit, which was selected as the Best Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit for the first quarter of 2022, and presented a certification plaque and letters of appreciation to outstanding contributors.
According to the Jeju Police Agency on the 26th, the Hallim Police Station Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit consists of a total of 44 members and maintains an organic cooperative relationship with the police on a regular basis.
They were recognized for their achievements in crime prevention activities, such as joint patrols of women’s safe return routes and areas requesting flexible patrols, and civil-police cooperative security activities together with the 24-hour safe police in the mid-mountain area, and were selected as the Best Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit.
Chief Ko Gi-cheol said, “I encourage the hard work of the volunteer crime prevention members at the forefront of cooperative security and express my gratitude for their dedication, asking them to join forces for a safe Jeju,” and added, “The police will not spare necessary support.”
