[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Baedal Minjok is joining forces with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to strengthen the hygiene and safety standards of delivery food.

Woowa Brothers and Woowa Brothers' operator Yogiyo, Great Imagination, announced on the 26th that they have renewed the "Business Agreement for Sharing and Utilizing Food Safety Information" with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and will strengthen mutual cooperation for the safety management of delivery food.

This renewal of the agreement expands the scope of the food safety information business agreement signed in 2017, reflecting the increased consumer demand for higher hygiene and safety standards in delivery food.

The parties to the agreement agreed to closely cooperate on ▲activating the application of the hygiene rating system for delivery-only restaurants ▲strengthening guidance on hygiene management methods for stores listed on delivery apps.

Since 2015, Woowa Brothers has been working with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and CESCO to create a clean food culture through the food safety and store hygiene education campaign "Clean King Project." Through online and offline education, they have provided detailed hygiene rules and know-how to restaurant owners and supplied various hygiene products that can be used in stores.

Lee Hyun-jae, Head of External Policy at Woowa Brothers, said, "We expect this renewal of the agreement to raise the hygiene and safety standards of delivery food and contribute to creating a safe delivery app consumption environment. We will continue to develop policies that strengthen consumers' right to know about food safety."
