[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Shinsegae Live Shopping announced on the 26th that it will introduce new products from its food private brand (PB) Taste King and expand its operation of convenience foods.


Shinsegae Live Shopping will broadcast Taste King Appetizing Simple Grilled Fish on the afternoon of the 27th and Taste King 365 Every Nuts on the afternoon of the 28th.


The grilled fish set consists of a total of 16 packs: 12 packs of mackerel, 2 packs of Spanish mackerel, and 2 packs of flatfish. Each pack weighs 90g, which is about 20 to 30g heavier than similar products on the market. The mackerel and Spanish mackerel are domestically sourced, while the flatfish is from the United States. They are grilled at a high temperature of 220 degrees Celsius for 15 to 25 minutes to minimize moisture loss in the fish meat, enhancing flavor and juiciness. They can be easily prepared without any special thawing process by microwaving (700W) for 2 minutes or air frying at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.


The nuts mix includes four types of nuts: almonds, walnuts, Brazil nuts, and raisins, priced at around 395 KRW per 20g pack, offering a practical composition. Almonds are individually packaged within 72 hours after roasting to maintain freshness and a mild taste.


A Shinsegae Live Shopping official stated, “Having established a convenience food operation system, Shinsegae Live Shopping plans to develop Taste King into a comprehensive food brand,” adding, “We will strive to enhance customers’ dietary value by offering a diverse range of cost-effective products.”
