[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) held the "Paris Park (Mok 5-dong 906) Reopening Ceremony" at 1:30 PM on the 23rd.

Paris Park is one of the five central parks in Mokdong created during the development of the Mokdong new town housing site in Yangcheon-gu. It was established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations. Since 2018, Yangcheon-gu has planned a customized renovation of Paris Park, conducted basic and detailed design services in 2020, and began construction last August to promote the renovation.

The main facilities include a replica of the Eiffel Tower, representing France, and a French-style embroidered flower bed to preserve its symbolism. A community space called "Salon de Paris" was created for residents, and cultural program education will be conducted in connection with the French Cultural Center.

Additionally, the circular walking trail was refurbished, and a mirror pond and ground fountain were installed. For a smarter park, IoT sensors, smart pergolas, and smart benches were introduced.
