[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 25th, Lee Gibyung and Baek Darye, preliminary candidates for Mayor of Naju, along with Lee Woongbeom, a candidate preparing to run for Mayor of Naju, held a ‘Naju Great Transformation Policy Alliance Agreement Ceremony’ at Yoon Byungtae’s election office and pledged to participate in the ‘Naju Great Transformation Policy Alliance’ proposed by Yoon Byungtae, the preliminary candidate for Mayor of Naju.
In the agreement, preliminary candidate Yoon Byungtae stated that, in accordance with the spirit of the ‘Naju Great Transformation Policy Alliance,’ “the policies proposed by the three will be actively reflected and accepted in future city administration,” and the three candidates mutually pledged that they would “not only strive for Yoon Byungtae’s victory in the primary and general elections but also work for a unified and advancing Naju.”
At the agreement ceremony, preliminary candidate Yoon Byungtae said, “This agreement with the three candidates is the first step toward the great transformation of Naju. I propose that other preliminary candidates and our civic organizations join together starting from today’s agreement ceremony.”
Meanwhile, regarding the background leading to this agreement ceremony among the three candidates, it was revealed that preliminary candidate Yoon Byungtae proposed a policy alliance for the great transformation of Naju to the political circles and civil society twice, before and immediately after the primary cutoff. When preliminary candidates Lee Minjun, Lee Jaechang, and Kim Byungjoo declared unification and announced their participation, they also declared their intention to join. However, former Mayor Kang Inkyu did not give up his intention to run as an independent for a third term, so they decided to actively participate in Yoon Byungtae’s proposal.
