Festival Committee Accepting Applications Until May 10

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The ‘Herbal Medicine and Medicinal Herb Festival Committee’ in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, is holding a poster contest for the 22nd Sancheong Herbal Medicine and Medicinal Herb Festival.

This poster contest focuses on symbolizing the significance of the festival, which is celebrating its 22nd year this year.

They are looking for designs that effectively and creatively express the images of the festival themes: ‘Traditional Korean Medicine’, ‘Anti-aging Wellness’, ‘Donguibogam’, and ‘Clean Medicinal Herbs of Jirisan Sancheong’.

Applicants must be printing, publishing, or design companies with business registration.

The selected winner will be granted the rights to produce and supply the festival posters and leaflets. The chosen poster will be used for various promotional activities to ensure the success of the festival.

A festival committee official said, “The Sancheong Herbal Medicine and Medicinal Herb Festival, which has been selected as a government-designated festival in Korea for three consecutive years, is celebrating its 22nd year this year. We will actively use the poster, which can be considered the face of the festival, for promotion.”

The 22nd festival is scheduled to be held from September 30 to October 10 this year at the Sancheong Nadeulmok Festival Square and the Donguibogam Village area.

Since its inception in 2001, the Medicinal Herb Festival has hosted the World Traditional Medicine Expo in 2013, been selected as an ‘Excellent Festival’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2018, designated as a representative festival of Korea in 2019, and chosen as a government-designated cultural tourism festival from 2020 to 2022.
