Jeonju City Holds 'Kkotsim Jeonju' Photo Contest

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 25th that it will hold the "Kkotsim Jeonju" photo contest from the 2nd to the 20th of next month to raise awareness and favorability of the Jeonju Spirit "Kkotsim."

The contest, themed "Jeonju Spirit (Daedong, Pungnyu, Olgodum, Changsin) embedded in Jeonju's historical culture," aims to find the Jeonju Spirit permeating our daily lives and provide an opportunity to take a closer look at Jeonju.

"Kkotsim Jeonju" is the Jeonju Spirit established together with citizens in 2015, referring to the four common spirits shared by Jeonju people: △Daedong (together) △Pungnyu (with dignity) △Olgodum (righteously) △Changsin (innovatively).

The contest is open to all Korean citizens, and each participant can submit up to four entries.

Jeonju City plans to select a total of 35 works, awarding one grand prize winner (with a prize of 1 million KRW) and a total of 5 million KRW worth of prize money and awards.

The winning works will be announced on Jeonju City's website on the 27th of next month and will be used for educational materials and promotional materials to revitalize the Jeonju Spirit in the future.
