[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency are offering free 'online education' for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province who find it difficult to participate in in-person training.
On the 25th, the agency announced that reflecting the growing demand for 'online education,' now in its fifth year, the number of students has been increased from 1,000 last year to 1,200 this year, and the education fields have expanded from four to five.
The education fields include ▲ Information and Communication (Python) ▲ Job Specialization (Leadership, Self-Coaching) ▲ Common Essential Competencies (OA, Financial Management) ▲ Industry Common Tasks (Business, Environment) ▲ Fourth Industrial Revolution (Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence), comprising 25 courses in total. Among these, 23 courses were newly established to meet educational demand.
The education will be available until the end of this year. It is also possible to take multiple courses simultaneously.

Yoo Seung-kyung, director of the agency, emphasized, "Even in the post-Omicron situation, the importance of online education remains significant," adding, "This year, we will actively support the development of human resources in SMEs through educational content that reflects corporate demand."
