[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Shinsegae Food announced on the 25th that the three types of 'Landers Snack,' launched in collaboration with SSG Landers earlier this month, have sold over 20,000 units within three weeks of release.
Since its launch, Landers Snack has been selling at an average rate of about 1,000 units per day, with online sales by region showing Incheon leading at 37%, followed by Gyeonggi (25%) and Seoul (21%). This figure is more than double the expected sales volume.
To maintain this momentum, Shinsegae Food is partnering with Gmarket to hold a special live broadcast for Landers Day. On the 26th at 8 PM, the Landers Day special live broadcast will be held on Gmarket's live commerce platform ‘G Live,’ where the three types of Landers Snack will be sold at discounts of up to 40%. All customers who purchase Landers Snack will receive one pack of Shinsegae Food’s home meal replacement ‘Olban’ dumplings (choice of Jjamppong Gunmandu, Myeongran Gunmandu, or Insaeng Wang Gyoja). Additionally, the first 1,400 customers will receive an SSG Landers player mask as a bonus.
Through the Purchase King event, the first-place winner (1 person) will receive a ticket to the Incheon SSG Landers Field Skybox, and 2nd to 21st place winners (20 people) will receive an Olban air fryer. Three hundred customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW will also receive an SSG Landers player autographed ball. Furthermore, among customers who provide purchase verification, 100 will be selected to receive a Starbucks Americano gifticon.
A Shinsegae Food representative stated, "With the increase in outdoor activities among consumers, interest in sports such as baseball and soccer is expected to rise again," adding, "We plan to strengthen sports marketing not only with Landers Snack but also through the development of various convenient meals, dining menus, and promotions."
