[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul's smart healthcare program 'OnSeoul HealthOn' is launching a user participation group called the 'OnSeoul HealthOn Monitoring Team' to incorporate vivid field opinions and has begun its activities.

According to Seoul City on the 25th, the monitoring team consists of 10 citizens who regularly use OnSeoul HealthOn and will submit monitoring reports every month regarding issues and improvement plans they experience. Additionally, they will participate in various online and offline events hosted by Seoul City to express their opinions, playing a role in enhancing the project's completeness through detailed feedback.

Since the competition rate was high even from the selection stage, more active participation is expected from this OnSeoul HealthOn Monitoring Team. Seoul City recruited the monitoring team via email applications, receiving a total of 63 applicants, and 10 were selected after overcoming a 6 to 1 competition ratio. The monitoring team will be active until August 31 of this year.

On the 14th, the city held an orientation session to explain overall matters related to monitoring activities, including the OnSeoul HealthOn project overview, activity schedule, content, and precautions, and exchanged opinions on the current project, providing an opportunity for communication with the monitoring team.

Furthermore, Seoul City is continuously striving to improve citizen satisfaction with the 'OnSeoul HealthOn' project. The ‘OnSeoul HealthOn Health Management Knowledge Improvement Online Event’ held on April 1 was successfully conducted with enthusiastic citizen interest, as the 600 reservation slots were fully booked within just three hours after the announcement. In particular, Seoul City is launching the ‘OnSeoul HealthUP’ health service, which helps set future exercise plans (directions) based on participants' monthly physical activity, highlighting strengths and areas needing improvement.

Accordingly, since the 14th, Seoul City has started sending notification messages about physical activity analysis and health checks, and plans to proactively encourage health activities by approaching participants first, moving away from the previous counseling system that was conducted only upon participants' requests. Additionally, from May, content and services related to nutrition, an important aspect of healthy living practice, will be strengthened.

Yoon Bo-young, Director of the Seoul City Health and Medical Policy Division, stated, “We will use the monitoring team as a driving force to lead the project by reflecting vivid field opinions,” and added, “Seoul City plans to continuously provide services that OnSeoul HealthOn users can feel and will continue health promotion projects that meet citizens’ perspectives.”
