Reflecting the Trend of Growing Interest in Artworks such as Paintings
Exhibition Featuring 1,000 Items from 8 Brands
'Art'-Related Product Sales Up 93% in Q1 This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] SSG.com announced on the 25th that it has established a new 'Art & Craft Specialty Section' that gathers related products such as paintings, artworks, crafts, and various objects, reflecting the recent trend of increasing interest in art pieces.
This section displays over 1,000 products sold by eight curated brands including 'Open Gallery', 'Art & Edition', 'Print Bakery', and 'Geurim.com'.
The Art & Craft Specialty Section was planned to allow customers to browse related products more easily and conveniently when purchasing on SSG.com. It offers a wide range of selections from works by famous artists such as Kim Whanki to popular crafts that can be casually appreciated in everyday spaces.
This reflects the recent trend of growing interest in artworks. In fact, sales of 'art products' such as paintings and crafts on SSG.com in the first quarter of this year increased by 93% compared to the same period last year. Since February this year, with the entry of specialized art rental service companies like 'Open Gallery' and 'Geurim.com', sales in the art category have grown by 60%.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the opening of the Art & Craft Specialty Section, SSG.com is holding a promotion offering up to 10% discount on original and edition artworks until the end of this month.
