[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is recruiting 1,000 participants for this year’s ‘Daejeon Youth Tomorrow Hope Card’ program.
According to the city on the 24th, the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card program has been implemented since 2017 to support young job seekers by providing 500,000 KRW per month for six months, totaling 3 million KRW, in card points to assist with job searching activities and living stability.
The provided points can be used for direct expenses needed during the job search process, such as education fees, interview expenses, book purchases, certification acquisition costs, meal expenses, and transportation fees.
The card issuance target is youths aged 18 to 34 registered as residents in Daejeon as of the announcement date, with a median income of 120% or less who have failed the National Employment Support System or are not eligible for it, and youths with a median income exceeding 120% but less than 150%.
Applications can be submitted on the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card website from the 1st to the 10th of next month. Related documents must be submitted by mail by the 17th of next month.
The city plans to select the final program participants after document eligibility screening and review by a selection committee composed of external experts following the application reception.
The selection results will be announced on the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card website after June 24th, and applicants will be individually notified via email or mobile phone.
