[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Dongguk University announced on the 22nd that it has been selected for the 'Humanities on the Road' public contest project for the seventh consecutive year, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korean Library Association.

'Humanities on the Road' is a project that utilizes library personnel and spaces to provide various humanities programs linked with reading, discussion, and exploration, contributing to the spread of humanities spirit and cultural values among local residents. Following last year, Dongguk University was selected for two programs this year as well: the free planning type and a specialized program targeting free semester system youth.

Through this project, Dongguk University Central Library plans to conduct a free planning type program under the theme "Homo Recordans, the Historical and Cultural Heritage We Must Remember." Additionally, as a specialized program for free semester system youth, "Homo Habitat" is being prepared. Students from Hanyang Middle School and Deoksu Middle School plan to explore "Homo Habitat."

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of 'Humanities on the Road,' follow-up meetings are also being prepared. A commemorative exhibition titled "Memory and Recollection Exhibition Planning: 10 Years of Humanities on the Road at the Library" will be organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary with local residents and instructors. For more details, inquiries can be made through Dongguk University Central Library.
