Inauguration of Kim Eun-bok as the 8th President of Seoul Eunpyeong-gu Chamber of Commerce

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Eunpyeong Chamber of Commerce, under the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the 8th president, Kim Eun-bok, on the 19th at Party U Plus in Yeonsinnae.

The event was graced by around 300 attendees, including local members of the National Assembly, city councilors, district councilors, former presidents including the inaugural president Ahn Hee-gyu, and members.

In his inaugural speech, newly appointed President Kim Eun-bok presented the vision for the Chamber of Commerce over the next three years: ▲ establishing a network system for member harmony and mutual development ▲ systematizing a member respect system to secure members' self-esteem and support management activities ▲ building a business exchange mapping system through external exchanges for profit and business expansion, emphasizing communication and harmony among all members.

He especially pledged to do his best to build the Eunpyeong-gu Chamber of Commerce building in the future.

President Kim Eun-bok has been involved with the Eunpyeong Chamber of Commerce since 2004 and has gained extensive experience through various volunteer activities. Notably, he founded the Citizen 119 Mountain Rescue Team, served as president of the Eunpyeong Police Station Safety Association, and as chairman of the Yeokchon-dong Residents' Autonomous Committee, which was the first pilot residents' autonomous committee nationwide. In 2011, he received a certificate of recognition as an excellent company for job creation in Eunpyeong-gu, and in 2015, he was selected as the recipient of the 35th Eunpyeong Award, receiving the Businessperson Award as a proud citizen of Eunpyeong.
