IP Research Institute Collaborates on Intellectual Property Research with 4th Industrial Revolution Convergence Law Society 원본보기 아이콘

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The Korea Intellectual Property Research Institute and the Fourth Industrial Revolution Convergence Law Society have joined hands to collaborate on intellectual property research.


According to industry sources on the 23rd, the Korea Intellectual Property Research Institute and the Fourth Industrial Revolution Convergence Law Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 20th at the Korea Intellectual Property Research Institute to strengthen research expertise in the field of intellectual property.


The two organizations will promote ▲ research on intellectual property convergence governance to lead the development of the digital economy ▲ academic information exchange and advisory activities to create new growth engines based on innovative technologies such as carbon neutrality, metaverse (extended virtual world), and space industry ▲ joint hosting of seminars and academic events related to economic security and artificial intelligence (AI) creation.


Through this agreement, they plan to contribute to the development of Korea’s legal system based on research expertise in the field of intellectual property, a core element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.


Son Seung-woo, President of the Korea Intellectual Property Research Institute, stated, “As Korea leaps forward as a digital powerhouse, the two organizations will play an important role as think tanks in the field of intellectual property research related to key digital tasks such as AI, data, and cloud.”
