[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Nambu Fire Station announced on the 20th that it conducted a 'Fire Truck Passage Training' at a traditional market to raise awareness of the importance of golden time during fire truck dispatch and to build public consensus.

The fire truck passage training is conducted monthly to improve citizens' awareness of yielding to fire trucks and to ensure the rapid dispatch of emergency vehicles during various disasters by conducting dispatch drills and securing fire lanes in traditional markets and traffic congestion areas within the jurisdiction.

This training was carried out jointly with related organizations, focusing on ▲ cracking down on illegal parking around fire water facilities ▲ removing obstacles on fire truck routes ▲ education on the use of fire extinguishers and emergency fire devices ▲ fire truck ride-along experience.

A citizen who participated in the ride-along experience said, "Riding together in an actual fire truck and directly experiencing dispatch obstacles caused by illegal parking made me realize once again how important it is to secure fire truck routes."

Go Jung-hyun, head of the 119 Disaster Response Team, said, "To protect precious lives and property, small consideration and interest from citizens toward emergency dispatch fire trucks are necessary, and we ask for active participation in securing the golden time."
