[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Jeonnam Regional Post Office announced on the 21st that it will promote the 'Love 愛 Farm Support Gangjin-gun Rose Special Exhibition' on Post Office Shopping to help farmers facing difficulties due to blocked sales channels, in cooperation with Jeonnam Province and Gangjin-gun.
According to Gangjin-gun, flower consumption has sharply declined due to the prolonged social distancing, and some farms are facing difficulties such as fire damage.
This special exhibition will be held for two weeks from the 22nd of this month to the 5th of next month on the Post Office Shopping Mall to promote flower consumption. Jeollanam-do and Gangjin-gun will support discount coupons and delivery fees, selling 9,000 bunches (90,000 flowers) of roses, one bunch (10 flowers) at a special discounted price of 12,900 KRW for 9,000 KRW.
The Jeonnam Regional Post Office has continuously carried out its public role by supporting the development of sales channels for agricultural, fishery, and livestock products in the Jeonnam area and running campaigns to help farmers and fishermen in crisis due to natural disasters or oversupply, contributing to stabilizing market prices of agricultural products and securing farmers' income.
Song Gwan-ho, head of the Jeonnam Regional Post Office, said, “I hope this special exhibition will become a new source of vitality for the depressed flower farms,” and added, “We will continue to support farmers and fishermen in the Jeonnam area using the post office network to further strengthen the public role of the post office.”
