Yeonggwang-gun Operates Health Guardian Walking App ‘WalkOn’

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it signed a contract with Swalabi WalkOn Co., Ltd. on the 18th and launched the official Yeonggwang-gun community to encourage residents to practice walking exercises in their daily lives.

WalkOn is a mobile walking app that measures your step count in real time and helps you enjoy walking exercises in daily life by providing various benefits and gifts according to the achievement of target steps.

The county plans to operate an event from the 25th of this month to the 4th of next month, where 200 people who achieve 60,000 steps will be selected by lottery to receive a small gift.

To participate in the event, from today, install the WalkOn app, join the official Yeonggwang-gun community, press 'Join Yeonggwang-gun Challenge,' and then walk while carrying your mobile phone.

A health center official said, "We hope to create a healthy walking culture in daily life through WalkOn and that residents will voluntarily participate to improve their health."
