[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] Prosecutors' investigators are also set to hold a meeting regarding the 'Complete Prosecution Investigation Removal Act' proposed by the Democratic Party of Korea.
Investigators within the jurisdiction of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office will gather at 7 p.m. on the 21st in the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office to discuss freely the impact on investigators' duties if the Complete Prosecution Investigation Removal Act is passed.
Approximately 200 to 250 investigators from the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, as well as the Seoul Eastern, Southern, Western, and Northern District Prosecutors' Offices, Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, and Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office, are expected to attend the meeting.
They plan to discuss how the duties of existing investigators will change if the so-called Complete Prosecution Investigation Removal Act, which involves amendments to the Criminal Procedure Act and the Prosecutors' Office Act, is enacted, and the resulting impacts.
Previously, the prosecution held a nationwide meeting of representatives of ordinary prosecutors and chief prosecutors to discuss the damages and issues that would arise if the Complete Prosecution Investigation Removal Act were passed.
