Goheung-gun, Full-Scale Promotion of Urban Regeneration New Deal Project

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shim Jeong-woo] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has finally selected the design firm for the public building construction project of the urban regeneration New Deal project "Shining Star Again, Goheung" in the old downtown area of Goheung-eup and will actively promote the project.

The final selected winning design received a high voting rate due to its excellent openness, natural circulation plan linked with the public building specialized street, and flexible space creation plan.

As part of the urban regeneration New Deal public building construction project, a craft beer brewery startup space (Namgye-ri 605), a vitality hub space Goheung Community Lounge (Namgye-ri 576), a complex community center for local community activation (Namgye-ri 551-1), and a Goheung Sarangbang as a resident hub space (Namgye-ri 461) will be established.

Based on the winning design, the project will start the service in May, complete the detailed design by October this year, and proceed with the construction project with a total budget of 7.41 billion KRW aiming for completion in 2023.

A Goheung-gun official said, "Through this competition, we expect to revitalize Goheung-eup by establishing various hub spaces with efficient and excellent designs."
