[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is conducting the 'Gyeonggi Startup Hub Global Accelerating Program' to support promising startups in the province in their overseas expansion and investment attraction.

The main programs include ▲preparation of English investment IR materials ▲pitching consulting ▲overseas buyer meetings ▲global roadshows ▲demo days and IR sessions.

The agency will also select outstanding companies for the 'Global Day' with overseas investors in October. Selected companies will receive 30 million KRW in commercialization funds.

Afterwards, the agency will identify companies interested in investment among investors, arrange post-matching, and provide various programs and linked support to help secure follow-up investments.

Applications are open to startups less than 7 years old in the province and can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi Startup Platform from the 25th of this month until the 27th of next month.

Yoo Seung-kyung, head of the agency, emphasized, "This program was prepared to revitalize startups in the province facing difficulties in domestic and international funding due to COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to strive to support startups' overseas expansion and investment attraction."
