The volunteer group 'Blue Angel,' composed of Air Busan cabin crew, visited the Busan Animal Protection Center in Gangseo-gu, Busan on the 20th to carry out volunteer activities for protecting abandoned animals.

The crew cleaned the indoor facilities and disinfected cages. They organized waste pads and improved living spaces, exercised, and took walks with the abandoned animals.

They also spent time on emotional bonding activities such as feeding. Additionally, they generously donated 300kg of premium pet food provided by the pet-specialized company 'Welts.'

Since last year, Air Busan has been visiting the Busan Animal Protection Center to volunteer in order to foster a culture of coexistence with pets and raise social awareness about abandoned animals.

Air Busan promotes itself as a representative pet-friendly airline. It plans to continuously pursue activities to improve awareness of pets and protect abandoned animals. Occasionally, they hold events allowing pets to roam freely during flights.

An Air Busan representative said, “While the number of households treating pets like family is increasing, awareness of coexistence with abandoned animals is still lacking, and infrastructure is insufficient, which is regrettable. We ask for interest and support for abandoned animals and hope that a mature pet culture will spread.”
