Lotte Food Launches Two New Gugu Ice Cream Products...Completes 10-Product Lineup

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Lotte Foods announced on the 21st that it will newly launch two new products under the Gugu ice cream brand: ‘Gugu Cone Salty Caramel’ and ‘Gugu Mini.’

The Gugu Cone Salty Caramel is a product that contains rich milk ice cream, marshmallow ice cream, and salty caramel syrup, with mini chocolate balls added for a crispy texture and enhanced flavor. The launch process of Gugu Cone Salty Caramel was supported by Lotte Foods’ university student marketers called ‘Hidden Supporters.’ The phrase ‘Sweet and Salty Pairing’ proposed by the 20th Hidden Supporters’ ‘One and Only Team’ was applied to the product packaging to emphasize the special combination of sweet and salty tastes.

Gugu Mini is a mini-sized (38㎖) ice cream that is perfect for children’s snacks as well as for the whole family to enjoy. It was introduced in a mini size for the first time to match the trend of spending more time at home with family. Inside the chocolate coating, there is chocolate ice cream, marshmallow ice cream, and caramel syrup, allowing you to enjoy a rich sweetness.

With the release of these new products, Lotte Gugu ice cream now offers a total lineup of 10 types: 2 types of Gugu (Original, Nougat Choco), 4 types of Gugu Cone (Original, Madagascar Vanilla, Strawberry, Salty Caramel), 1 type of Gugu Bar, 2 types of Gugu Cluster (Original, Vanilla), and 1 type of Gugu Mini.

A Lotte Foods official said, "The Lotte Gugu brand is a premium ice cream that has been loved for a long time for its unique luxurious sweetness and nuttiness," adding, "We will continue to firmly establish the brand as one loved by all generations through product launches that reflect consumer demands and trends."
