On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.72% compared to the previous session. The S&P 500 index, centered on large-cap stocks, closed slightly down by 0.06%.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed down 1.22%, affected by Netflix, which plummeted more than 35% that day.
