[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will begin construction this month on four routes, including the Baekseok-eup area City Road No. 2 Bokjiri Urban Planning Road (Main Road 3-24 Line).
The city will invest a total project cost of 19.2 billion KRW to construct a road 620 meters long and 25 meters wide connecting in front of Sinji Elementary School to the Donghwa Apartment intersection. Construction will start this month and the road is scheduled to open in the first half of 2023.
Along with this, construction will sequentially begin on the Yongam-ri Urban Planning Road (Medium Road 2-6 Line, 460 meters long), Ganap-ri Urban Planning Road (Medium Road 2-20 Line, 480 meters long), and Mansong-dong Urban Planning Road (Main Road 3-46 Line, 270 meters long).
A city official stated, "Continuous expansion of urban infrastructure is essential," adding, "We will promptly proceed with the road construction projects to alleviate traffic congestion and prevent pedestrian safety accidents."
