[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] With the restoration of the ground subsidence site at the Byeollae Line Section 3 subway construction site in Guri City that occurred in August 2020, the road opening is now in the final countdown.

On the 20th, according to Guri City, a joint inspection was conducted with Gyeonggi Province after receiving progress updates on the restoration and road opening plans from the construction company at the Gymnasium-ro site in Gyomun-dong, where the ground subsidence accident occurred.

The city discussed the safety inspection of the Byeollae Line tunnel reinforcement and the schedule for the full opening of the four-lane road.

After the accident, the city formed the 'Guri City Accident Investigation and Safety Measures Committee' to identify the cause of the accident, conduct safety diagnostics, reinforce the ground, and focus on safe restoration.

The city submitted 16 review opinions regarding ground reinforcement to the Gyeonggi Province Construction Project TF Committee, and the province reviewed and reflected the city's opinions.

The city plans to complete the full restoration of two of the four lanes on Gymnasium-ro, which had been controlled, by June.
