[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Emart is hosting the largest-ever Children's Day event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children's Day.

According to industry sources on the 21st, Emart will hold the "Children's Day 100th Anniversary Festival" event until June 8th, offering up to 50% discounts on block toys, infant toys, character toys, digital electronics, and outdoor sports equipment ahead of Children's Day on May 5th.

Emart is commemorating the 100th anniversary of Children's Day and, as the first large-scale event since the lifting of social distancing measures, has increased the event inventory by more than 15% compared to last year and enhanced customer benefits.

During the event period, Emart will sell popular toy products at up to 50% off, and customers who purchase over 70,000 KRW worth of toys using the event card will receive a 10,000 KRW discount along with a limited edition 'Star Wars Tarpaulin Bag,' with 10,000 bags available across all stores.

About 40 types of LEGO products will be sold at up to 40% off, and customers who purchase over 100,000 KRW worth of LEGO products will receive a 'LEGO Pouch (including Start Pack 2 pieces)' as a limited gift of 10,000 units across all stores. Starting from the 1st of next month, Emart plans to exclusively launch the LEGO Classic 90th Anniversary Commemorative Set.

Additionally, customers who purchase over 100,000 KRW worth of toys will have the opportunity to buy a 'Kongsuni Eco Bag (Large)' worth about 4,000 KRW for only 100 KRW.

Furthermore, Emart has planned a large quantity of various character toys from the explosively popular 'Catch Teenieping' since last year, and will offer Pok?mon-related products, which have recently attracted great attention, at a 20% discount.

To celebrate Children's Day, Emart has also prepared generous discounts on digital electronics. For one week until the 27th, the 'Nintendo Switch' console will be offered at a 20,000 KRW discount when purchased with the event card, and from the 28th of this month to the 5th of next month, all Switch titles will be sold at a 20% discount.
