[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Hollywood star Ezra Miller (30) was arrested by police in Hawaii, USA, on assault charges.
According to reports from the British Guardian and others on the 20th, Miller was arrested after throwing a chair and injuring someone when asked to leave a gathering held at a residence on Big Island, Hawaii, on the 19th (local time).
Local police stated that a 26-year-old woman sustained a laceration on her forehead from the chair Miller threw. Miller was arrested around 1:30 a.m. and was released pending further investigation.
Miller was also arrested last month for causing a disturbance in Hawaii. On the 27th of last month, at a karaoke bar in Hilo, Hawaii, he grabbed the microphone from a woman singing and used abusive language, then charged at another man playing darts. At that time, Miller was released after posting a $500 bail (approximately 600,000 KRW).
Miller gained fame for playing the role of The Flash in movies such as "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League." His solo starring film "The Flash" was also scheduled for release next year. He also appeared in the "Fantastic Beasts" spin-off series of "Harry Potter."
However, repeated illegal acts have hindered the normal release of these works and his acting career. Warner Bros. held an emergency meeting earlier this month and decided to temporarily suspend projects involving Miller.
