[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol visited the Gwangju National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cluster on the 20th and stated, "We will unite our efforts to transform it into Korea's definitive Silicon Valley leading the next 100 years."

On the same day, President-elect Yoon visited the site for the AI data center construction within the cluster and said, "I will ensure its completion without delay once I assume the presidency. We will spare no effort in providing various tax, legal, and institutional supports for talent development and R&D startup assistance."

He added, "The key to balanced regional development lies in regions deciding strategic industries suited to their circumstances, with the central government supporting them. Gwangju has long been prepared to leap forward as a representative AI city, and now only government support remains." He further emphasized, "We will actively support Gwangju to grow into a city centered on artificial intelligence."
