[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The People Power Party's Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee announced the candidates for the Gimhae mayoral primary election, following the heads of Tongyeong and Goseong regions.

The party's nomination management committee stated that among the preliminary candidates running for Gimhae mayor in the nationwide simultaneous local elections in June, four candidates have been selected to compete in the primary.

The candidates participating in the primary are Kwon Tong-il, advisory member of the 20th Presidential Transition Committee; Park Young-jin, former chief of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency; Hong Tae-yong, senior vice chairman of the People Power Party's Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee; and Hwang Jeon-won, former vice chairman of the Gimhae City Sports for All Association.
