[Notice] 'Net Zero is the Future' Future Business Forum Held

It is an era of transition. If the 20th century, which achieved the most progress in human history, was built on carbon, it is clear that the future must take a different path. The increasingly frequent cold waves and heatwaves comparable to disasters show that climate change is not a possibility that might occur in the next generation, but something directly connected to our current livelihood and survival.

Everyone habitually says that climate change is important, but compared to the past, the sense of crisis has inevitably diminished. Fatigue may have accumulated, or the threshold may have risen. However, the important point is that to welcome a better future, we must prepare and act right now. If moral obligation does not work, we must also recognize that it can be profitable.

We live in an era where companies generate profits through carbon emission rights and the market for capturing and storing carbon dioxide has grown to tens of trillions of won. This is also why net zero, which eliminates the net emissions of greenhouse gases including carbon, is seen as the future. Asia Economy, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Future Enterprise Forum this year, has prepared a discussion with experts from various fields under the theme "Net Zero is the Future" in collaboration with Stanford University.
