Recruitment for 5·18 New Researchers Workshop Participants

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The 5·18 Memorial Foundation will hold the '5·18 Emerging Researchers Workshop' to share research topics and awareness of issues among emerging researchers interested in the study of 5·18 and democracy, and to seek ways to revitalize future academic research.

The '5·18 Emerging Researchers Workshop' is aimed at master's and doctoral students (including those who have completed coursework) interested in research on 5·18 and democratization movements.

The workshop, held over one night and two days from July 7 to 8, will include programs such as ▲ introduction of emerging researchers ▲ sharing research topics and mentoring ▲ special lecture ▲ guidance on accessing materials for 5·18 research ▲ and a tour of 5·18 historical sites.

Applications for workshop participants will be accepted via email until June 3. Detailed information can be found on the notice and announcement section of the 5·18 Memorial Foundation website.

The '5·18 Emerging Researchers Workshop,' held for the first time this year, is hosted and organized by the 5·18 Memorial Foundation and sponsored by the Chonnam National University 5·18 Research Institute.
