Aitronics Wins 2.7 Billion KRW Contract for Road Corporation ITS Performance Evaluation Data Collection Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Itronics, a subsidiary of iL Science, announced on the 20th that it has won a contract worth 2.7 billion KRW for the Korea Expressway Corporation's "Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Performance Evaluation Data Collection Service" for two years until 2024.

ITS refers to a transportation system that efficiently manages traffic information using advanced technology to improve traffic efficiency and safety. This project is being implemented to collect and classify basic data for the efficient execution of ITS performance evaluation.

Over the next two years, Itronics plans to carry out the work targeting all expressway routes under the jurisdiction of the Korea Expressway Corporation, some privately financed expressways, and local government roads.

Itronics will collect day and night evaluation data of ITS facilities at road sites and handle quality control tasks during this process. Additionally, it will manage the status of data collected by each institution, operate on-site data collection, and provide various technical support related to ITS performance evaluation data collection.

An Itronics official said, "By winning this contract, we have gained an opportunity to demonstrate the ITS-related technology and know-how that Itronics has accumulated so far," adding, "As a leading company in mobility innovation, we will strive to perfectly carry out the given tasks to contribute to the operation of a more efficient future-oriented transportation system."
