[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Daesang Jongga Jip announced on the 20th that it will launch ‘Baekmukeunji,’ a white kimchi fermented deliciously with 36 years of kimchi expertise.
Jongga Jip Baekmukeunji is a specially made white kimchi fermented using a low-temperature aging method to achieve optimal taste when matured, allowing it to be enjoyed conveniently without the process of washing off red pepper powder. Additionally, it contains patented kimchi lactic acid bacteria that enhance the kimchi’s flavor, delivering a refreshing and tangy taste.
It pairs well as a side dish and is convenient for use in various recipes. When eaten with grilled meats such as samgyeopsal, the unique tangy flavor of Baekmukeunji balances the greasiness, reducing heaviness. When served with fresh raw fish like gwamegi or yellowtail, it enhances the savory taste. Moreover, Baekmukeunji stir-fried in sesame oil or perilla oil can be eaten as is or used as a main dish ingredient in aged kimchi kimbap or vegetable wraps.
A Daesang official said, “In response to the growing interest in simple home-cooked meals after COVID-19, we have launched Baekmukeunji, which can be easily used in various dishes. We will continue to release products that meet consumer trends seeking diversity and convenience based on Jongga Jip’s 36 years of kimchi expertise.”
