[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a full survey of 31 boundary facilities located in border areas with other local governments by June.
Suwon City currently installs and manages 31 boundary facilities in border areas adjacent to Yongin, Hwaseong, Ansan, and Uiwang cities.
Last year, the city also conducted a full survey of boundary facilities and discovered damaged facilities installed in the border areas between Mangpo-dong, Yeongtong-gu and Banwol-dong, Hwaseong City, as well as between Omokcheon-dong, Gwonseon-gu and Gian-dong, Hwaseong City, all of which were restored.
A city official stated, "Boundary facilities inform citizens of the exact city boundaries," adding, "Based on the annual full survey of boundary facilities, we will systematically manage the facilities to ensure the reliability of city boundaries and provide citizens with accurate boundary information."
