[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Department Store is opening 'Valentino Beauty' at its Jamsil branch for the first time in a department store, capturing the attention of customers seeking color cosmetics again in the reopening era.


Lotte Department Store announced on the 20th that it will hold a 'Valentino Beauty' pop-up store on the first floor of Lotte World Mall in Jamsil until the 8th of next month. On the 25th of next month, an official store will open on the first floor of the Jamsil branch. 'Valentino Beauty' is the beauty brand of the Italian luxury brand 'Maison Valentino,' offering color cosmetics such as lipsticks, cushions, glitters, and perfumes.


This collection features a case design highlighted by the bold red color and Valentino's signature 'V' logo. Representative products include the 'Go-Clutch + Rosso Valentino Mini Lipstick,' 'Go-Cushion,' and 'Rosso Valentino Lipstick.' During the pop-up period, customers who purchase over 150,000 KRW will receive the 'Valentino Beauty' eco tote bag packaging service.


With the lifting of social distancing measures, various customer participation events have been prepared. The 'Makeup Show,' which could not be held due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, will also be presented. It will be held every weekend at 3 PM and 6 PM from the 23rd to May 8th, where professional makeup artists will demonstrate makeup techniques using 'Valentino Beauty' products tailored to this spring's trends. Customers attending the makeup show will receive gifts such as authentic 'Valentino Beauty' products and deluxe samples through lucky draws and quiz events.


'Valentino Beauty' can also be found at Lotte ON's premium beauty specialty store 'On and the Beauty.' Ahead of the official opening of the 'Valentino Beauty' online mall, a pre-quiz event held until the 14th attracted about 10,000 customers, showing great interest. On Lotte ON, customers who purchase by the 30th will receive a 'Rosso Valentino Lip Card' including lipstick samples on a first-come, first-served basis.


Meanwhile, Lotte Department Store continues to introduce unique content centered around the Jamsil commercial district in collaboration with luxury beauty brands. The ice rink operated with 'Chanel' at the outdoor plaza of Lotte World Tower World Park from late last year to early this year recorded early closures for all time slots. Last month, the limited edition perfume 'Leather Explorer Collection' launched with 'Creed' triggered 'open runs' among enthusiasts.
