Gimhae Foreign Language High School, Curator Kim Hyukjung's Journey to Walk the Old Gaya Land

Gyeongnam Gimhae Foreign Language High School invited Kim Hyuk-jung, a curator at the National Gimhae Museum, to conduct this year's Gaya Land Tour.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongnam Gimhae Foreign Language High School invited Kim Hyuk-jung, a curator at the National Gimhae Museum, to give a special lecture and conduct experiential activities.

From the 14th for two days, Gimhae Foreign Language High School held a special lecture titled "Gaya Culture Seen Through Ancient Armor" for second-year students and conducted an experiential activity called "Da(gachi) Gaya Road."

The full-day experiential activity was designed to enhance students' understanding of the local community and to foster affection for their alma mater and the Gimhae area.

The program was structured so that students directly planned the design and produced a four-language leaflet based on prior research of each experiential site.

Students holding the promotional flyers they made themselves explored Bongha Village in Gimhae in the morning and, in the afternoon, acted as peer curators based on what they studied about the experiential sites such as King Suro's Tomb, Queen Suro's Tomb, and Gujibong.

A representative of Gimhae Foreign Language High School said, "It was a time when students, who had been withdrawn due to COVID-19, spread their wings wide like a butterfly."
