[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 19th, the head of the Gwangju Regional Public Procurement Service visited Haseo Industry, an excellent procurement goods manufacturer located in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, to engage in on-site communication activities.

This visit was arranged to directly hear the difficulties faced by companies due to COVID-19 and rising raw material prices, and to explore growth strategies in the public procurement market.

Established in 2001, Haseo Industry is a specialized company producing integrated pump sluice gates (excellent procurement goods), movable weirs (disaster prevention new technology) that enable automatic overturning in emergencies and facilitate low-level water discharge. It is a promising small and medium enterprise expanding its market based on differentiated technology, designated as a Global Public Procurement Service (G-PASS) company in 2019 for its potential in overseas procurement markets.

Director Kim Gong-jin stated, “We plan to actively listen to the voices of small and medium enterprises through continuous on-site communication,” adding, “We will actively support small and medium enterprises with innovative technologies to play a catalyst role in revitalizing the regional economy.”
