[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The global water festival 'Songkran Music Festival' is landing in Korea.

On the 19th, the event organizer BPC Tangent announced that the 'Songkran Music Festival' (SONGKRAN MUSIC FESTIVAL, hereinafter S2O Korea) will be held for two days on July 9 and 10 at Gwacheon Seoul Land.

'Songkran' is Thailand's New Year and a world-renowned water festival held for about ten days across Thailand, attracting tourists from around the globe to fill the event with excitement. The festival, born from this tradition, features special effects using approximately 1 million liters of water and stages by world-class EDM musicians. It is so popular that it draws about 300,000 attendees annually from Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, China, and other countries.

'S2O Korea' is the first large-scale EDM festival to be held since the COVID-19 pandemic that lasted for the past two years, making it a must-attend EDM festival this year and generating great anticipation.

BPC Tangent is the production company behind Korea's representative EDM festivals such as the ‘World DJ Festival’, ‘Strike Music Festival’, ‘Heineken Stadium’, and ‘World Countdown’.

CEO Kim Eunseong stated, “The ‘S2O Korea’, held for the first time in Korea this year, will pour all the know-how and capabilities that BPC Tangent has accumulated in EDM festivals into this event, making it a festival for fans who have been waiting for EDM festivals.”
