[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Yeondon Bolkatsu announced on the 19th that it is launching 'Gamgyul Oreum,' a Jeju tangerine lager beer that pairs well with crispy and savory Bolkatsu, and is also introducing a new menu item called 'Cheese Bolkatsu.'
Yeondon Bolkatsu is a brand specializing in 'Bolkatsu,' which is made by grinding Korean pork (Handon) into bite-sized pieces and frying them into round shapes. Gamgyul Oreum is a pairing beer that complements the savory Bolkatsu well. It is made with pure Jeju tangerines, including imperfect tangerines, in collaboration with Jeju tangerine farms, highlighting the unique characteristics of Jeju.
Gamgyul Oreum beer is a lager-style canned beer full of live yeast carbonation, containing 100% Jeju tangerine concentrate, offering a refreshing and subtle citrus flavor. Additionally, made with concentrate, it is not sweet but maximizes the unique aroma of tangerines, making it a great match not only for fried foods like Bolkatsu but also for light snacks such as nuts.
Cheese Bolkatsu contains generous amounts of premium whole mozzarella cheese inside the existing Bolkatsu, allowing customers to enjoy a harmony of crispy texture and savory taste.
The two new menu items will be sold at Yeondon Bolkatsu locations nationwide, except for some stores.
