The committee comprehensively reviewed Seo's three drunk driving violations and lawyer law violations, deciding to uphold the Gwangju City Party's judgment of 'disqualification.'

The Democratic Party Gwangju City Party's Public Office Election Candidate Recommendation Management Committee ruled Seo unqualified on the 5th due to his drunk driving and lawyer law violation records.

Mayor Seo was fined three times for drunk driving between 1996 and 2000, and last year, he was fined for violating the lawyer law.

It is known that Mayor Seo is also considering running as an independent candidate.
