[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Hansangwon Han, CEO of Dasco, who is contributing to regional and national economic development through focused promotion of renewable energy projects and educational projects, donated 200 million KRW as a development fund to Chosun University.


The donation ceremony was held on the 18th at the main building, attended by Min Young-don, President of Chosun University, Hansangwon Han, CEO of Dasco, Han Nam-cheol, President, and Kim Taek-gwan, Head of Headquarters, among others.


This donation was arranged to support the new changes and leap forward of the Central Library of Chosun University, aiming to improve students' learning conditions in a rapidly changing era by creating a smart environment in the Central Library through the development fund.


Through this, Chosun University plans to design a Central Library equipped with a smart convergence system, establish an advanced study caf?-type library, a media center for providing cultural content, and create a smart educational environment including metaverse and VR.


CEO Han graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Chosun University and completed the MBA program and integrated master's and doctoral courses at the Graduate School of Business.


He then established Dasco Co., Ltd. and, as a professional manager, has made significant contributions to the economic development of Gwangju, Jeonnam, and South Korea through manufacturing road safety facilities, metal structures, and core development of renewable energy.


In addition, to nurture local talented individuals, he established the Hongin Academy Foundation and has made great contributions to talent development by conducting educational scholarship projects at Yeongsan Middle and High School.


Accordingly, Chosun University recognized the contributions of Hansangwon Han, CEO of Dasco Co., Ltd., who is leading regional industrial development through innovative research and development and fostering professional technical talent by nurturing global leading companies, and awarded him an honorary doctorate in business administration.


CEO Han said, "The most rewarding and valuable work is to nurture future talents, establish companies, create jobs, and help make the region a home." He added, "I am pleased to be able to donate to Chosun University, a prestigious local university, on this occasion, and I will strive to become a company that contributes to the region and South Korea as a stepping stone for sustainable development."


President Min said, "I sincerely thank you for participating in the new leap of the Central Library and helping to improve actual educational facilities," and added, "We will provide a good environment for future generations, nurture excellent talents for the local community and the nation, and faithfully fulfill our role as an educational institution."
