Sung Kim, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, Holds Private Meeting with Minister of Unification on the 19th

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Sung Kim, the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Affairs at the State Department, who arrived in Korea on the 18th for a 4-night, 5-day visit, will have a private meeting with Lee In-young, the Minister of Unification, on the 19th.

The Ministry of Unification announced on the 18th, "Representative Kim plans to visit the Ministry of Unification on the afternoon of the 19th to meet with the Vice Minister of Unification, followed by a meeting with the Minister of Unification."

The related meetings and discussions will be held privately.

On the same day in the afternoon, Representative Kim is scheduled to hold consultations with Noh Kyu-duk, South Korea's chief nuclear envoy and head of the Peace and Security Negotiations Office for the Korean Peninsula, to discuss responses to North Korea's nuclear issues.

Additionally, until his return on the 22nd, he is expected to meet with key figures related to diplomacy and unification in the next government, including Park Jin, the nominee for Minister of Foreign Affairs.
