[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Museum of Korea will resume the "Spring Museum Garden Walk" guided program, which was suspended for the past two years due to COVID-19, starting from the 23rd. The program will be held a total of four times weekly.

In the outdoor garden of the National Museum of Korea, welcoming spring, beautiful flowers, trees, and stone sculptures are already preparing to greet visitors. Participants in the "Spring Museum Garden Walk" program can comfortably stroll with family, lovers, or friends while learning about the flowers, trees, and various cultural assets in the museum's outdoor garden, allowing them to experience the museum with a fresh perspective and sensitivity.

Visitors joining the walk will receive explanations about native flowers and trees such as peonies and Korean red pines, as well as guided commentary on designated cultural properties spanning the Unified Silla, Goryeo, and Joseon periods, including the Bosingak Bell Pavilion, Yeomgeo Hwasang Pagoda, and Namgyewon Seven-story Stone Pagoda.

The "Spring Museum Garden Walk" is available through advance reservation on the National Museum of Korea's website, and participants will be given a small souvenir.

Additionally, on the 8th of next month, a special guided program for Buddha’s Birthday titled "Stories of Buddha" will be held. The "Stories of Buddha" program will provide easy-to-understand explanations for the general public about Buddha’s life, the origins of Buddhist statues, the differences between Buddha and Bodhisattvas, the meaning of pagodas and relic enshrinement, as well as pagodas and monk stupas, through the museum’s exhibits. Reservations for the Buddha’s Birthday special guided program "Stories of Buddha" can also be made on the National Museum of Korea’s website, and a small souvenir will be provided.
