[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, will accept a second round of additional applications at each eup and myeon office until the 22nd for farmers who have not yet applied for the 2022 Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance.
Eligible applicants are farmers and fishermen who are registered as agricultural and fishery business operators, have had an address in Muan-gun for at least one year prior to the application year, and have been actively engaged in agriculture or fishery.
The payment amount is 600,000 KRW per person annually, and it will be paid in full in the first half of the year through Muan Love Gift Certificates.
However, those with comprehensive income exceeding 37 million KRW outside of agriculture and fishery, those who have fraudulently received subsidies such as direct payments, public officials or employees of public institutions, those who have been penalized for violations of the Farmland Act, Mountainous Area Management Act, Livestock Epidemic Prevention Act, or Fisheries Act, and those who separate households while living with the eligible business operator for the Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance will be excluded from the payment.
Lee Jin-hee, Director of the Agricultural Policy Division, said, “We are accepting additional applications for farmers who missed the initial application for various reasons, so we ask that you apply without fail within the deadline. The county will also do its best to promote the application for the Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance.”
